I think I’m in love. His name is John in the Morning and he’s a DJ on KEXP
Seattle, which you can also listen to on the web. I listen to his show every morning
and he’s so funny and nice. He’s married and has a baby, though. I really love
his taste in music. I really like the Arcade Fire these days.

So it’s taken us forever but I think we’ve finally found a script we like.
That means that me and my sister might soon be making our big screen debut. I’m
a little nervous about acting but I think I’ll be okay with it. I’m really good
at charades and at pretending I’m asleep when I’m not so that’s something, right?
The screenwriter’s really cute, too. Not that that has anything to do with anything.
He’s dating our biographer.

We’re going to have a big birthday bash after the Grammys. Even if we don’t
win anything, we’ll have plenty to celebrate. We’re going to be eighteen. We even
talked our Dad into having an ice sculpture of ice made. I can’t wait to see what
I look like!

Sloan (that’s our new ‘biographer’-see below) is really cool. She’s been playing
all this cool new music for me and it’s really opening my mind up to new styles.
I have so many ideas now—I’ve been listening to all sorts of cool bands I’ve never
heard of before. I used to think Bjork was just weird but now I think maybe she’s
a genius. Hopefully I can find a way to do something with them someday.

So we met this really cool journalist today and we decided to ask her to write
our biography. We have a lot of ideas about what we want to tell her but also
think it’d be cool to get a total stranger’s impression. She’s from New York and
we’ve asked her to move in with us to do her “research.” Her name’s Sloan, which
I think is a really cool name. We beat her at tennis yesterday. I think that really
got her mad!

Today was a big day. We got nominated for like 10 Grammys! I’m so excited
I can’t even remember the exact number. We’ve also been invited to perform on
the show so we’ll be starting rehearsals immediately. Good thing our house has
a dance studio! Not sure yet, but I think we’ll be doing “Another Girl Like Me.”

Just got back from a weekend in New York. We wanted a change of scenery and
also love shopping in New York. I got some really cool stuff. We stayed at the
Gansevoort Hotel which was really cool and everyone there was super nice to us.
We went to Chelsea Market a few times and found tons of great stuff to nosh on.
We hung out at the Maritime with a bunch of friends one day, too—they have such
great pizzas there; I love the one with prosciutto. I think we might try to stay
there next time. We ate in their sushi restaurant and it was yummy!

Flora and I both got the worst cold or flu or something. She got sick first,
with a sore throat, but it was only a matter of hours before my symptoms kicked
in. We’ve been mostly sleeping and drinking OJ and eating chicken soup for three
days now. I hate being sick. We start to get on each other’s nerves when we’re
not up and doing stuff. And Flora’s a bigger baby than I am about these things.
She just wouldn’t stop whining! Oh well. Think we’re getting better now.

We’re almost done decorating the house. And our tour schedule is slowing down
so we’ll be able to get back into the studio soon. I like touring and seeing fans
and all but I really like recording songs the most. This blog isn’t very interesting
yet but I promise I’ll try harder.

We just moved into our new house in Beverly Hills. We’ve named in the Joint and
are busy unpacking and settling in. We just decided to paint each of the rooms
on the second floor a different color of the rainbow so I think it’ll be really
bright and happy!
